FM Sat Comms, a new satellite communications solution integrated into FM-Web, offers increased communications flexibility and coverage in areas that lack GSM coverage.

FM Sat Comms uses the leading Inmarsat D+ satellite system consisting of 4 geostationary satellites offering global coverage. The Satamatics transceivers used are low in power consumption during operation and are extremely compact and robust, making them suitable for use in harsh environments.

Features

• Command-type messages can be sent from office to vehicle, including obtaining the position of vehicle.

• Active Tracking Points and any event (e.g. panic buttons) can be sent from vehicle to office. Frequency and event priorities are user-configurable.
